Privacy Statement
For the organisation of this congress, Wiegerinck Continue Educatie B.V. (Wiegerinck) process personal data of participants on behalf of Dimence group (organisers). A data processing agreement has been concluded between Wiegerinck and Dimence in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Upon registration for the congress, participants provide personal data such as name, contact details, professional title, organisation, and country of residence. These personal data are processed exclusively for the following purposes:
- the organisation and execution of the congress;
- communication related to the congress (including practical information, updates, and certificates);
- administrative and financial handling;
- accreditation and attendance registration, where applicable.
Where necessary for the proper organisation of the congress, personal data may be shared with parties involved in the event, such as speakers, chairpersons, and supporting service providers (e.g. registration services, mailing or badge suppliers). These parties will only receive personal data strictly necessary for the performance of their tasks and are bound by GDPR obligations.
International data transfers
In the context of this international congress, personal data may be transferred to or accessed by parties located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for example international speakers or service providers. Where such transfers take place, Wiegerinck and Dimence ensure that appropriate safeguards are implemented in accordance with the GDPR, such as the use of standard contractual clauses or transfers to countries that are subject to an adequacy decision by the European Commission.
By registering for the congress, participants explicitly consent to the processing of their personal data as described in this Privacy Statement.
Wiegerinck and/or Dimence may inform participants by email about future congresses or educational activities that are relevant to their professional profile. Participants may unsubscribe from such communications at any time via the unsubscribe link included in the relevant email.
Participants have the right to:
- access their personal data;
- request rectification or completion of their data;
- object to the processing of their personal data;
- request restriction of processing;
- request data portability;
- request erasure of their personal data (“right to be forgotten”), insofar as permitted by law.
In addition, participants have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
