Keynote presenters
Dr. Awais Aftab, MD
is a clinical associate professor of psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Cleveland, OH, USA. He focuses on phenomenology and the intersection of philosophy and clinical practice.
Dr. Anna Bergqvist
is Reader in Philosophy at Manchester Metropolitan University and Visiting Fellow at St Catherine’s College University of Oxford. Her research spans metaethics, aesthetics, philosophy of psychiatry, and public mental health. Bergqvist is currently preparing a monograph on narrative particularism and the nature of the self, alongside the new major academic handbook The Oxford Handbook of Philosophy and Public Mental Health (Oxford University Press, forthcoming)
Dr. Sofia Jeppsson
is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Umeå University in northern Sweden and a former care assistant, now philosopher and fantasy author, with lived experience of psychosis. She writes about agency, ethics, and the philosophy of psychiatry and madness.
Dr. Rosa Ritunnano, MD, PhD
is a consultant psychiatrist in early intervention in psychosis services, and her research interweaves psychiatry, philosophy, psychology, and linguistics from her base at the University of Birmingham’s Institute for Mental Health in the UK and also Orygen Youth Health at the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Traveling to Nijmegen
Nijmegen is the nearest airport to get to Weeze (NRN). This is a journey of 33.9 km. The express bus SB 46 runs every two hours from Nijmegen station and stops en route in Kranenburg and Goch before arriving at Weeze Airport. The bus then continues to Kevelaer station. With a journey time of approximately 65 minutes, you will reach your destination in no time!
Other nearby airports are Eindhoven (EIN) (53.3 km), Dusseldorf (DUS) (88.9 km), Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) (90.7 km), Rotterdam Airport (120 km) and Cologne Bonn (CGN) (138.8 km).
From these airports there are several ways to travel to Nijmegen.
